How prevalent is dyslexia?
A definitive answer to this question has been elusive because of the continuous distribution of reading performance and predictors of dyslexia and because of the heterogeneous nature of samples of poor readers (Wagner, et. al., 2020). Can dyslexia be cured?
Dyslexia is a brain-based difference that a person is born with. It is not a condition that can be outgrown; however, with the right type of treatment, a person can learn how to be a better reader and speller.

Is dyslexia the only reason a person might struggle with literacy skills?
No, dyslexia is one type of reading disability. Although it's the most common, it's not the only reason a person might struggle.
